Atacama salt flats/Laguna Chaxa

In the Atacama desert where salt and lithium are mined. The lagunas are saline and itermittently fed by runoff from the Andes. The pics are looks at the salt flats and the brine lagoons. One pic is of the salt and mineral soil. The last two are flamingos in the Laguna: one is an Andes flamingo; the other is a Chilean flamingo.Read more
