Altiplanic lagunas

Altiplano=high plain, so these are high altitude lagunas. These are at about 14,000 feet. The animal pictured is a vicuña. Each of the small lagunas has an eponymous volcano nearby. You can see them in the pictures. Some are still active. One is overdo for an eruption.Read more
