Itiquira Falls, Brazil

Brasilia sits on a high plain in inland Brazil. There are many rivers that flow in all directions. In fact, I'm told there are more than 1200 waterfalls of many sizes, from a few meters to about 150 meters. Itiquira is the largest. The first pic is taken from the base of the falls, while the second is from the ridge across the valley. A brutally difficult hike.
