The Rocket

A classic, historic, old, sidewheel river steamer working the Kirton Khola River and other interconnected waterways, all the way at to the Bay of Bengal. Although no longer steam driven (it's diesel now), the rest of the boat remains essentially the same.
The first 2 pictures look at the steamer from the dock. 3rd is the 1st class area where my cabin was. 4th looks at the deck where the below 2nd class passengers staked out their floor space to sleep. The last two look out over the river from the top deck. One is at Dhaka, showing the many small boats running back and forth. The other looks at the sunrise on the river.Weiterlesen
