    Singapore encourages businesses to provide art in the central city area to add some interest that what might otherwise be a sterile cityscape. The 1st depicts river merchants from the old days at work. The 2nd recalls when kids would jump into the water to cool down. Can't do it today as the Singapore River has been dammed and is now a water supply reservoir. The 3rd is a sculpture by the Colombian artist Botero. Next is a Dali sculpture as an homage to Isaac Newton. Next is a random piece. Last is in the new space connecting the former supreme Court and city hall buildings making them a large museum.Read more
