Ramayana Ballet

Traditional Javanese dance, telling the Ramayana. An English synopsis of the story (a 24,000 line poem from about the 6th century BCE, I'm told) is included in the last photo. You should be able to blow it up enough to read.
The 1st picture is of the Pramanan temple ruins next to the theater. It had been one of the largest in Indonesia. The performance during the dry season is outdoors, with this as the background.
