This is the convent that the viaduct was built for. High on the hill overlooking the town is this amazing place. Walled for defence and near the castle it is very large and ornate.

A bit out of sequence here. This is the Templar castle that adjoins the convent shown earlier. The castle now just consists of its walls the walk around them is free.
After our 4 day break in Tomar we are now back in Oliveira do Hospital. Actual we stay in a much smaller town called Travancia De Beria but you wouldn't find that on a map!
