Wat Xiengthong

Wat Xiengthong is one of the oldest and most beautiful monasteries in Luang Prabang which is praised as the architectural gem for its historical and artistic values. Built by King Say Setthathirath from 1559 to 1560. The glass mosaic decorations, carvings and paintings were just beautiful. The temples just sparkle because of the coloured mirrors used in the depictions on the outside of the two temples. So glad I came this far from the hotel.Read more
