Day 7 - Gokyo Ri Peak

Adam headed out at 5 am to summit Gokyo Ri peak(5355m) this morning. Nelle stayed in bed resting, and went for a short hike later in the morning. It took about five hours to hike up and back from the village.
We have hired a chopper to go over Cho La Pass (which was supposed to be our next two days) as Nelle isn’t 100% with the flu and wouldn’t be able to make this section, which is pretty challenging(she has been a trooper, but it’s not worth risking her life). To compound this, we have been getting reports about the glacier we need to cross to get to the pass being unstable.
