The oldest section of Barcelona

The last 3 photos are taken on Plaça Sant Iu where Frederic Mares Museum is located (see next footprint). The wall of Castell del Lloctinent, a Medieval building which dates back to the XV century. Some of the stones used to construct the castle where from the Jewish cemetery on the slopes of Montjuïc hill.Läs mer

Resenär The Temple of Augustus was a Roman temple built during the Imperial period in the colony of Barcino. Unfortunately the site was closed but the cortyard door just happened to be slightly ajar which was just enough to tempt me to sneak in and.. I was able to take this shot from the lower side through the locked gate. Better than nothing I guess
