Goodbye Venice

Today was a tour day. We were touring Saint Mark's Basillica and Doges Palace. The Basilica is known for entombing the bones of Mark from the New Testament. The army of Vienna stole them from the King of Constantinople to put in their cathedral and make him their patron Saint. It was a lot of beautiful mosaics. The Doges Palace was amazing. The painted walls, and ceilings were gorgeous.
After the tour we stopped at a shop and ordered a delicious sandwich and water to go and hopped on a gondola for a 30 minute ride. Nice ride but the water taxi we rented to take us to the train station gave us such a beautiful view of more of the city. We loved every part of our stay but the terrible beds at our hotel.
