Florence Museums

A day on our own looking at all the sites. All the museums are free today. So we were able to walk in after a 30 minute wait for free. David is in the Acadamia Museum, and then there is the Uffizzi Gallery with so many masterpieces. The statue of the little brother and sister is so accurate even of our kids today. He's holding her doll and she is wanting it back. The round picture is a Michaelangelo of John the Baptist and his mother Elizabeth and his dad Zacharrius. Someone told us Michaelangelo was 14 when he painted it. We saw church after church. We walked into one but really not something I need to see. We ended our day with a nice appertiff and took pictures of the Arno River. It's a pretty dirty river but the pictures were lovely. Early to bed. Czytaj więcej
