Food heaven!!!

Right after the game I went back to my room. Did the Footprints. Did the planning for tomorrow with Christi. Laid in bed and figured 9 PM is too early to sleep and I could need a snack. I remembered there is an Italian restaurant connected to the hotel. I checked their menu online and jumped out of bed.

I walked thru the door and the barkeeper welcomed me. Brought me to the table, gave me ice cold water, the waitress brought me fresh baked warm bread, pured olive oil and balsamic vinegar on a plate, I said "lasagna and tiramisu" without checking the menu the barkeeper had in his hands. He smiled and said it was a good choice. She asked if I wanted something else to drink and I ordered the sweetest white wine. She mentioned my favorite one (Mosq... I can't remember the name) and brought me a glass. I'm in heaven... This food is my soul food. All of it. And all together just a third of the Hell's kitchen price.

Gleich nach dem Spiel ging ich zurück in mein Zimmer. Habe die Footprints gemacht. Habe die Planung für morgen mit Christi gemacht. Liege im Bett und denke mir, dass es um 21 Uhr zu früh zum Schlafen ist und ich einen Snack brauchen könnte. Mir fiel ein, dass dem Hotel ein italienisches Restaurant angeschlossen ist. Ich überprüfte die Speisekarte online und sprang aus dem Bett.

Ich ging durch die Tür und der Barkeeper begrüßte mich. Er brachte mich zum Tisch, gab mir eiskaltes Wasser, die Kellnerin brachte mir frisch gebackenes warmes Brot, Olivenöl und Balsamico-Essig auf einem Teller, ich sagte "Lasagne und Tiramisu", ohne auf die Speisekarte zu schauen, die der Barkeeper in den Händen hielt. Er lächelte und sagte, das sei eine gute Wahl. Sie fragte, ob ich noch etwas anderes trinken wolle, und ich bestellte den süßesten Weißwein. Sie erwähnte meinen Lieblingswein (Mosq... ich kann mich nicht mehr an den Namen erinnern) und brachte mir ein Glas. Ich bin im Himmel... Dieses Essen ist das Essen meiner Seele. Alles davon. Und alles zusammen nur ein Drittel des Preises von Hell's Kitchen.Read more
