Mt. Shasta Brewery

This is our inaugural Harvest Host stay. The parking lot was not level and we struggled a little to get to level in the spot we chose. We had to put the Anderson levelers on wood squares and found that the hard plastic was very slippery which made us nervous. We agreed we need to improve the wood blocks. The building is a former creamery and we had dinner there. Tried the IPA (dark color, clear, not very bitter, nor hoppy, but drinkable). The porter was a yummy coffee porter. The beer of the night for me was the Jalapeño Weed Ale. A pickle was offered and accepted and was placed in the beer. Oddly, it made the beer excellent. Had the Greek salad and meat eaters flatbread. It rained heavily during the night, which means we’ll have to squeegee off the sliders. Much colder here also, 47 F at 6 am. We were at 3/4 battery, so may not have to charge.Read more
