    Well, we decided that Coos Bay to Centralia would be too long. So, we kept our stop in Salem. The Oregon coast continued to impress, though it was wet, windy, with lots of turns ands elevation changes. The Dunes were amazingly large. It probably took us over and hour and a half to transit. Also, Cape Perpetua was really neat and worth a future visit. Highway 20 from Newport to Corvallis was a good choice as it was only about 850 feet in elevation, no hint of snow, but we were in a Snow Zone, requiring us to be carrying chains (which we had bought while in Ojai).Read more
