Mount Bromo, Java

As it is with any new adventure, no two scenes you come across are ever the same. Mount Bromo was set in a basin, which framed it much like a stage, with foreground scenery and another volcano set behind in the distance....all were leaking a little smoke!

We stayed in a guesthouse in the village at the edge of the basin, here after climbing Ijen the night before, I had quite possibly one of the best sleeps I've ever had.

We woke at 3am to start the hike up another dormant volcano opposite Bromo on the edge of the Tengger caldera. From here is where we watched the sunrise upon the stunning landscape.
