Mountain Sound - Of Monsters and Men

After playing our NYT games this morning, Dad and Danny brought home bagels for breakfast. Once we were appropriately dressed for the temperature, we all left for St. Stephen’s Green. Danny said goodbye to the four of us and we boarded the Glendalough bus. 1.5 hours later around 1 o’clock, we arrived at the Glendalough visitors center in Co. Wicklow. We trekked down to the 1000-year-old Monastery before walking the path to both the Lower and Upper lakes. Forking South at the Upper lake, we passed a beautiful waterfall up the hill. Continuing upward, we hit the top of the small but steep mountain and were rewarded with breathtaking views. Unfortunately, we turned back before reaching the next ridge due to our depleting time left. We stopped for a snack then met the bus right at 4:30. Back in Dublin, we cleaned up and headed to Devitt’s Bar in town for dinner and drinks. We listened to great music and later enjoyed a few episodes of The Office before bed.Læs mere
