• Florence to Venice

    14. maj, Italien ⋅ 🌧 17 °C

We left Florence this morning and hopped on our last fast train. The trains really are the way to go. I was nervous about the public transport before leaving Australia and thought a short flight was better than a long train ride. I was wrong. If we ever come back to Europe we’ll definitely only fly if the train trip is longer than 5 hours. We arrived in Venice and the weather looked like it was about to rain. We got a ferry to near our accommodation, and walked the last 4 minutes. Wow, our hotel is very fancy, and our room is massive. We checked in early, dropped our bags and took off to get some photos before the rain. I got a bit overwhelmed looking at the gorgeous little canals and alleyways tucked away. It’s so beautiful. Venice absolutely made it into my top 5 for this trip. Eventually it started to drizzle, we threw on our wet weather gear and wandered aimlessly for hours. What a place to get lost in. We didn’t even pull out our phones to see where we were until we were heading back to get ready for dinner. Love, love, love Venice. 💕We’re supposed to get more rain tomorrow but we’re going to go to Murano and Burano anyway. Fingers crossed it’s not too heavy. ☔️ 🌧️Læs mere
