Sintra and Cascais

We thought we were getting a tour of the two historical regions outside of Lisbon. Turns out we got a ride — a nice ride in a shiny BMW — but only a ride. If the young driver knew anything of the history of the region where he grew up, he wasn’t telling us. The steep switchbacks around Sintra and the stunning seascapes of Cascais told wordless stories of God’s creation at the western-most point of Europe.Leggi altro
