• Still beating Dad😂😂

    22 Mei 2023, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

It was our third day at Lee and Jenny's bush camp, so Dad and I decided to do some cherabin fishing. We had two cherabin, so that meant one each. Dad cast my rod out and within minutes my bait was getting nibbles, I pulled back and hooked onto a big one. I fought it for around 30 seconds and then it took me into the snags and got off. Dad was a bit upset, but he let me use the second cherabin, but he probably shouldn’t have!. He cast my rod out again, and we waited. I wasn’t getting bites, so I slowly started to wind in and then my slack line started going underneath the boat and dad yelled out “pull up, your on!” and he was right I was hooked onto a big fish. I fought it for a while and when it finally came up to the boat Dad netted it. After we got the hooks out, we measured it and it was a whopping 80cm, I was stoked a 86cm and 80cm in three days, last year I couldn’t even get a keeper.

Dad and I have been fishing every day since we got here and we both have landed two keepers, my two keepers were 86cm and 80cm and dad’s are were only 55cm and 65cm, so mine were a lot bigger😂😂😂.
