Our last day 😞Gullfoss and Hvammsvik

Our last day so rented a car to do some exploring. Car rental crazy I. Iceland, about £350 for a day !!! But had to check out a couple of spots based on Richard’s recommendations. Both were absolutely superb. Gullfoss was around an hour and 40 minutes drive from Reykjavik. A really powerful waterfall. The thing that was most striking was that the (many) visitors were managed sensitively and although it was busy, it didn’t feel like it. The Icelandic Government have worked hard to preserve the majesty and natural beauty of the place. Don’t even get me started on the Lamb Soup 🍲 Gorgeous ! After that we drove to Hvammsvik - a hot spring, bathing spot right on the edge of the Fjord. Stunning ! And the drive from Gulfoss was breathtaking too. A great last day in Iceland 🇮🇸 ♥️.Read more
