Code 0 wire broke loose😱

Shortly before dawn the Code 0 started to flap and we couldn't trim it in. I saw the leach was loose and run forward behind the main to see what is going on. Fuck. 😡😭The wire is loose at the top. And the sail is only holding on a thin dynema line.

We get the sail down and we see that the wire slipped through the press fitting. We got the mast head back in the cockpit and start to work on a fix. After 2 hours of grinding, screwing, tinkering and discussion we seem to be have it fix. It looks even good and strong💪💪.

We get it up and start to roll it out but see immediately that our solution slipped. 😔 we get it down secure it to the dock it. No code 0 until Salvador de Bahia.Read more
