    Had some sound nights like

    18. mars, England ⋅ ☁️ 15 °C

So our second night here was a Saturday and even tho we were super knackered after all those sleepless nights travelling we felt obligated to make the most of the London night-life so we went out to an event. The night was dreadful because we really dragged our feet getting organised so we had to catch a bus into central London took over 2 hours, we arrived at the venue at 2am. The DJs were alright but I was just progressively getting sicker and sicker as the night went on and by the time we left I was experiencing every kind of flu symptom you could imagine. It took ages to get back to Croydon becuase the buses were rerouted for a burst water main but maps wasn't showing it, I didn't get to bed until about 6. The next week was pretty chill, I was sick and we were both worn out so we didn't really do much. We did meet up with our mate Sam Buckley for a pub crawl around Croydon which was really fun. He's been living here for a few months so he was able to give us a few recs, the best thing he put us onto was Moster Munch which are like pickle flavoured hot cheetos, im obsessed with them now and have had a packet every day! This Friday we went back into London for another event but this time it was absolutely sick. We learned from last weeks terrible experience and left nice and early to get the faster train, we also brought a few big energy drink cans filled with vodka to have along the way which really helped. The event was at fabric which is a very famous london club that some people say has the best sound system in the whole world. It was the 20 year anniversary of hyperdub which is a London label that one of my favourite producers Burial is signed to. The founder of the label Kode9 was doing the show and his set was awesome, he played Archangel which I've never heard in a club before, everyone was loving it, the people were so cool and the venue was dope. It's definitely close between this set and Mia Kodens from Amsterdam for best show of the trip. Yesterday was St Patrick's day so we met up with Sam again to check out a couple more pubs. This time we went to Brixton and Crawford, the pub we went to in Brixton was a place called Wetherspoons, which is a chain that serves pints for 2 pounds and doesn't play music because the owner doesn't believe pubs should have music ahaha. I loved Wetherspoons, it was half the price of all the other places and the vibes in there were class. Crawford was aight, Sam expected us to be real impressed with the 3D shop fronts but i was way more impressed with the sweet chilli monster munch I was eating ahaha. Even thought we've done barely anything London's been sick, I could definitely see myself living here :).Les mer
