03.25.2024 Colombo, Sri Lanka Day2/2

Our second day in Sri Lanka. We have a very low key day except to pack. We have an overland to India that starts tomorrow . The ship sails tonight so we are booked into a hotel here in Colombo tonight and fly to New Delhi tomorrow. We are traveling with Warren, Allison, Terry and Beth. (our children have our itinerary). Stay tuned. It’s going to be an amazing adventure. We rejoin the ship in Mauritius on April 2nd.
We checked into our hotel and headed out for dinner on the beach. On our drive to the restaurant we watch the commuter trains fully loaded with people. Remember no air conditioning and it extremely hot. Look close they are sitting in the trains entrance. Fascinating. A beautiful sunset view at the restaurant. Our flight is not until 4:00 in the afternoon tomorrow. We all discussed that none of us have been to the airport in Sri Lanka so we will see how that goes.
