St Charles Street Car

Started our day with breakfast and jazz at Cafe Beignet then boarded the St Charles Street Car and headed to the Garden District for a walking tour.

We started at Lafayette Cemetery No. 1. Kind of creepy but reading the tombstones was fascinating. http://www.saveourcemeteries.org/lafayette-ceme… We then hit the neighborhood, suffice to say we saw many beautiful historic homes including Anne Rice's mansion.

We rode the streetcar uptown to the end of the line passing Loyola University and Audubon Park, then back to Canal Street. Walked through the French Quarter to return to our car...something new on every corner.Read more
