Today we drove the Turquoise Trail to Sandia Crest in the Sandia Mountain Wilderness. At 10,678 ft of elevation it was cold and windy but the views were phenomenal! http://www.turquoisetrail.org/
On our way home we stopped at Tinkertown, a very quirky folk art museum. http://tinkertown.com/
We also stopped in Madrid to stroll and check out the local galleries. We sampled and bought some amazing dark chocolate at Shugarman's Little Chocolate Shop. Saw lots of sculptures along our drive.
We spent the afternoon exploring the Santa Fe Plaza. Lot's of original pueblo style architecture, shops, restaurants and churches. The Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi is especially beautiful.

We ended our day with some delicious New Mexico style chili and frito pie at the Plaza Cafe.
