    September 6, 2017 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 66 °F

Wednesday was a full day of sightseeing. First we headed east to Wall Drug Store for a bite to eat. Fun, interesting history and a total tourist trap. Next we toured the Minuteman Missile National Historic Site's Visitors Center and silo D-9. Very interesting and even more so as some of the volunteers are retired servicemen who had worked at the site and had a wealth of information. https://www.nps.gov/mimi/index.htm On to Badlands National Park where we drove the Badlands Loop road, stopping at many overlooks and the Visitors Center. The Badlands are beautiful but not very conducive to long hikes. https://www.nps.gov/badl/index.htm An hour and 45 minute drive home for a bit of dinner then to Crazy Horse Memorial to watch the laser light show and blast... fantastic! https://crazyhorsememorial.org/night-blasts.htmlhttps://crazyhorsememorial.org/legends-in-light…Read more
