The Murals of ToppenishProsser Wine TastingProsser Wine Tasting

    September 4-6

    September 6, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 77 °F

Arrived at Sunnyside RV Park in Sunnyside, Washington. A windy 90 minute drive south through the Hanford Reach, uneventful except for about 3 miles of blowing dust with very poor visibility. We visited the Yakama Nation Museum in Toppenish http://www.yakamamuseum.com/museum.php followed by our best Mexican meal of this trip at Los 3 Panchos, a true dive but oh so delicioso 😋. We also took a walking tour of downtown Toppenish to view their murals. https://www.visittoppenish.com/blank
Wednesday we took a tour of the Prosser wine country. https://www.tourprosser

Tastings at Desert Wind (our favorite), 14 Hands, Alexandria Nicole, Kestrel (where we harvested vegetables and grapes as well) and Airfield. We ended our day sampling and purchasing products at Chukar Cherries. https://www.chukar.com/
Thursday we had lunch and a walking tour of historic downtown Yakima then drove through the Zillah wine country. http://www.gotastewine.com/zillah-wineries.php No tasting today as I'd "over tasted" yesterday. On our way back to Sunnyside we visited the Teapot Gas Station.
