Beach clean up

My first job of the day is to help with the beach clean up. We cross over just in front of the hostel and make our way down to the beach. I honestly can't believe the amount of rubbish there is ranging from a pretty brand new pair of havianas to a plastic snake, a pot of paint and even a washing basket. There are 4 of us collecting and we must collect about 10 bin bags of rubbish its ridiculous the stuff that's here. It's back to the hostel for a clean up then matty has asked if we can use the pool at seaesta a small resort about 15 minutes walk away from where we are at the hostel. It's really beautiful and as we walk onto the beach I hear my name called. It's a guy called Felix who is a German guy I've played at pool over the last few nights and kicked his backside even playing German rules. Once again he promises he's going to beat me when I agree to play him later in the whisky bar. We enjoy our time on the beach relaxing in hammocks and a few snacks on the beach . While I go and enjoy a swim In the pool the others head for a swim In the sea . I take advantage of being able to do a few lengths to try and strengthen up my shoulder that's still giving me grief. When I arrive back to the hostel I get a quick shower and go to a different night food market just ten minutes walk away . Literally within 2 minutes the heavens open and I get absolutely soaked but take refuge in a doorway till it passes. The market is wonderful with live music playing and after the rain has stopped starts to get really busy. I walk back to the hostel as Ning finishes at 9 and I want to say goodbye . She kindly offers me to drop me at whisky bar and when I arrive Jon Nuts Ian and the crew are here. It's still 11pm closing and after a few drinks they are joking I will be back in a week. Its really strange because everywhere I go I really could stay a lot longer. When i go out to catch a taxi they want to charge 200 baht because im on my own but having been here for a week i know it should only be 100 baht so me and my stubbornness i start to walk home and after 5 mins a taxi picks me up for 100 . I feel sad to leave but who knows maybe it will be a 12 month trip in Thailand 🤣Les mer
