I wake this morning with another niggling toothache but take myself for my usual breakfast and coffee to Raos. The hangover isn't so bad today and I sit with the crew enjoying breakfast. I love the fact that it's like being with my little family. They all look out for me. A little later a guy comes in who's from Belgium and after a brief chat I find out he's volunteering on boats out here which if you have been following my journey was my intention in Thailand. It's really interesting to learn how he's gone about it advertising on various Facebook pages and tomorrow is starting his little adventure. His name is Bobby and after breakfast I head down the beach and a short while later he walks past and asks if he can join me. He's packed his life up and is living more minimally than me but he is so happy and when I ask him how long he's traveling for he says forever. I know in my heart that I couldn't do this and that adventures take me to far-off places in the world but my love for my family always brings me home. I planned to get a tattoo in Sarawak but when I lost my card was unable to do it due to the shortage of cash so I have a consultation this afternoon for getting one here. I've moved rooms today and when I get back to Rainbow lodge the room still isn't clear so I sit and chat with Addy and Andrew until the girl leaves for the airport. I grab a quick shower and have a few games of pool and a whisky to try and sort my tooth ache out but to no avail the only thing for it is an early night.Read more
