Trip around the Island

I take my usual breakfast in Raos but when I go to drop my washing off they're closed. Bobby has invited me to go out on the bike today so we drop my washing off on the way out. Our first stop is Kuah, we are on the hunt for a few individual items but have no joy as most of the shops are shut today as Friday is a weekend day. After a look around a few of the shopping centres in Kuah we take the side road up towards tanjung rhu, one of my favourite beaches here in Langkawi. We enjoy a light refreshment before taking a walk to the far end of the beach. There's loads of rubbish which is really annoying because this beach has some top end hotels and you'd think they would clean the beach outside. We make an effort to pick up what we can but seriously you would need a whole day and about 10 bin bags just to clear half of it. On the way back we stop at Scarborough fish and chips for dinner. It's good but we wait over an hour for it and the portions are really small so we're only half filled when we leave. After a quick stop for fuel we head round the island in the opposite direction stopping of at the harbour dreaming of owning one of the beautiful yachts moored in the harbour. We eat dinner at the little Thai restaurant at the end of the street and as we walk back there's some guy stuffing the biggest teddy bear in the boot of his car and I explain the penalties of animal cruelty, hasn't he ever watched Ted?
