Alaska Bound

Travel day to Alaska - Montreal to Vancouver to Anchorage. The approach was stunning by air. Beautiful snowy mountains were in abundance. I am already asking myself if I should have packed warmer gear? We met Roni, a fellow traveller in the hotel lobby who invited us to join her for dinner at the rooftop 49th State Brewery where we ate a very juicy, delicious Yak burger, and the treated ourselves to ice cream at Wild Scoops. Featured flavour was fireweed. When in Alaska, try typical Alaskan food! Can’t wait to meet the rest of the group tomorrow morning and to begin exploring this mighty nugget of impressive scenery in “The Last Frontier”.Leer más
