Denali National Park

After leaving the relative warmth of our cozy cabins, we made an early morning stop at the coffee shop and then travelled to Denali National Park and Preserve today, stopping in Talkeetna to explore the town where the Northern Exposure TV show was filmed. Loved walking the main street and waving to the train as it passed through. The town had a total hippie vibe. The scenery en route was beautiful. Once at the campsite we ate supper in the rain and set up our tents, hunkering down in our sleeping bags wearing multiple layers of clothing and our winter hats. 2 degrees makes for a cold night! We have not yet sighted Mount Denali and learned that only 30 percent of visitors do. Here is hoping that in the next few days we get lucky. Surely it will be our reward for braving the cold each night.Meer informatie
