Hiroshima

We travelled by subway, bullet train and streetcar for most of the morning to arrive at Hiroshima. This afternoon we visited the Hiroshima Castle and then the beautiful and serene Shukkeien Gardens. It was a nice change of pace and the Sakura were once again in full bloom in every shade of pink and white. Tomorrow we will visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial and learn more about the extraordinary events that happened here in August 1945.Leer más
