Gate of Heaven and Tirta Gangga

Today was a free day and Megan, Margaret, Karina and I choose a trip to Lempuyang Gate of Heaven and the floating palace. Our driver picked us up at 5am and when we arrived at the Lempuyang Gate of Heaven we were number 25 for photos. The elegant gates, etched with carvings to the Hindu Gods, overlook Mount Agung, Bali’s most active volcano. Vera’s advice to get there at sun up was spot on as we only waited 20 minutes for our turn for the iconic instagram pose photo shoot. Others had to wait hours. It was overcast and drizzling but we had a blast. The next stop, Tirta Gangga, a floating temple, was a very tranquil spot and provided the Yin to the morning’s Yang. We were back at the hotel by 10 am with many hours to relax and enjoy the amenities.Baca lagi
