The Summer Palace

We travelled in style today, exploring with a private guide. What a beautiful city; clean, layers of ring roads, beautiful flowers along the streets, flowing traffic, interesting architecture and colourful signs and lanterns. Our first stop was the magnificent Summer Palace, built by the Emperor in 1760 for his mother, the Dowager Queen.
