Wild Goose Pagoda, aka Dayan Pagoda

The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. It was originally built to house Buddhist scriptures brought back from India and the pagoda played a significant role in the spread of Buddhism in China. The Da ci’en Temple which surrounds the pagoda is a beautiful complex of ancient halls and courtyards, large Statues of Buddha, and halls dedicated to Buddhist teachings.
