We had a great spot by the edge (red circle)
It had great beachesWith sea lions swimming through! And Rebecca! 😂1With the dogs set up on the beachNearby towns had oyster farming (Bosley loved to get his feet wet whenever we were at a beach)1And emus on the street! Many wild flowersIt got a bit chilly at night but the dogs were well looked after as usualMakybe Diva came from this region (a particularly successful race horse)They had good cafes including this rather excellent French oneAnd pubs1And a particularly good lunch at Boston Bay wineryWe went on a boat tour. This is 12 year old Bradley, first mate and legend! Even served the beer!We saw fish farmsThere were quite a few fish farms off the coast1They seemed a bit crowded for the poor fish1We also went past a sea lion colonyThe company also did cave diving with great white sharks! Some pretty speccy sunrises ...... and sunsets

    Port Lincoln

    February 2, 2024 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

Port Lincoln was at the southern tip of the Eyre Peninsula (the very right hand end of the Great Australian Bight). It was a bit of a surprise package.

We had heard it was known for fishing and oysters, and it was certainly good for fresh sea food. But it was also brimming with beautiful scenery, wildlife, and even some very nice fench cafe's and wineries!Read more
