Day 2 Recap - Qualifying Matches Part 1

OK… Day 2.

We left the hotel at 0630, yep. Short night. The doors were opening early to save seats before the Opening Ceremonies at 0800. We were in the Newton Division. There are 8 divisions in the championships, each names for a famous scientist. The tournament has each division playing 125 matches over 2 days. Then they do alliance selection and playoffs like every other tournament. However, the winning alliance of their division goes on to compete in the EINSTEIN FINAL PLAYOFFS with the top alliance from each division.

We had 5 matches on the day. One we won one which we weren’t expecting. Going into our 5th match, we were in 2nd place, only behind Jack in the Bot! Unfortunately, our Bot had a case of the dropsies and we lost the match. We dropped from 2nd to 9th! But we ended the day in 6th place.Read more
