Wednesday at FRC Worlds was pretty CHILL. It was mainly a day to get the pit set up, make sure the robot was working well, go around and visit other teams, and grab as many stickers, pins, and small banners to add to your name tag as you can get.

FRC also sponsors many workshops for the students and mentors - like how to promote your FIRST experience on your LinkedIn page, scouting, team communication. There was even one called “Networking for Introverts”. Joey attended one on job interviews. He and Elijah also spent some time on homework. I walked around and looked in on the other FIRST championships including LEGO Robotics!

I made a new friend from Turkey! Her name was Tuba. We met in the restroom, where she was pretty sad and feeling left out of her team. So, she and I hung out for a while - seeing the different demonstrations, and visiting the college tables until she perked up and felt herself again.

We had dinner at a restaurant called CLAWDADDY. We had hush puppies, fried mushrooms, and fried OKRA!
Joey ate a soft shell crab!

After all that, my brain was tired, but my body still felt on Pacific time zone. Joey went to sleep around 11pm. I just couldn’t sleep until midnight. The alarm was set for 0530, and God woke me up at 0500…. Thursday might be sketchy.
