• Whitsundays wandering

We had an absolutely wonderful week sailing through the Whitsunday Islands with Emily, Ben, Jacob, Sophie, Brett, and Kathy. Our luxurious catamaran, Toy Bouy, was expertly skippered by Brett, who not only navigated the boat through various conditions with great skill but also fillet and cooked our fish to perfection. More than once I heard someone say " I'm glad Brett is here". We experienced everything that makes this place truly special. A fun-filled day at Whitehaven Beach, where we enjoyed a game of finska, a delicious lunch, swimming and soaking up some very welcome sunshine. We found lots of snorkelling spots where we encountered turtles, fish, and some stunning coral formations. We hiked up hilltops to appreciate the breathtaking waterways and we were treated to spectacular sunsets and sunrises. One of the most magical moments was witnessing bioluminescence under a sky filled with sparkling stars on the darkest of nights.
To commemorate our beloved son Andrew, on what would have been his 30th birthday, we indulged in a few cocktails and a seafood feast on Hamilton Island. Brokenhearted, we felt grateful for the precious time spent with family, cherishing each moment and appreciating the beauty around us.
