Geyser, Soda Springs, ID

Ce geyser est au centre de Soda Springs. À nouveau il s’agit d’un geyser dont l’eau est expulsé à cause d’une poche de gaz carbonique percée et non à cause de la géothermie. Il a été créé lors d’un forage pour trouver des sources d’eau chaude. Après plusieurs mois d’éruption incontrôlée, une valve a été ajoutée afin d’éviter l’inondation de la ville. C’est le seul geyser captif.

This geyser is in the center of Soda Springs, ID. Again this is a co2 induced geyser due to an exploration well (looking for hot water this time). After several months of uncontrolled spewing a valve was installed to prevent town flooding. It’s the only captive geyser.Read more
