Made it to Lizard-Yahoooo!

Hiked from Porthleven to Mullion Cove (7 miles) in grey drizzle and the views were still amazing! I met a new hiking friend, Annette, from Copenhagen who’s job is also based in the Research Triangle in Durham! She’s coming next month-is the universe amazing or what?! We hiked passed the Storm Church- a structure has existed there since 6th Century! The black birds are Cornwall Chough- they had been extinct from the coast for 50 years and came back in 2001. The other bird is a Stonechat - such a pretty song! We hiked thru a pebble beach by Lake Loe- freshwater right next to the coast, a monument to those lost at sea and many coves. At Mullion Cove she hiked on and I walked a mile into town to catch a bus to Lizard. I met my Netherland friends at the bus stop!! Crazy! Annette and I are to meet up for dinner tonight.Læs mere
