Weds Oct 5, 12:00 pm: Fort Madison, IA

We had a very brief stop at the last station in Iowa. I could see a little bit of the original fort but it wasn't a great view. So I went back on the train because we were going to pass right by the fort as we pulled out of the station and I got a great seat in the observation car on the correct side. Just as we were leaving the station, a freight train pulled alongside and paced us as we left Iowa and crossed the Mississippi. So I didn't see the fort up close after all.Weiterlesen
