Leg 9: W. Lafayette -> Chicago by car

The drive to Chicago was pretty at first and then a little frantic as Russell was trying to be both driver and director of windmill photography. Then, as we got closer to Chicago, there were SO MANY TRUCKS. Then, at one point, we got trapped behind a construction convoy. I still don't know how or why, but in the end, it only wasted about 5 minutes and we had plenty of time to spare.

So in the end, it all worked out fine. We filled the rental car up with gas on the outskirts of Chicago and had very little trouble getting to the train station. Russell dropped me off with plenty of time to spare. I sat in the lounge for about half an hour before the boarding process began.Leggi altro
