Gloucester Tree - Pemberton

We did it, we (Lachie, Brett and I) climbed the Gloucester Tree, a 58 metre tall tree which was used as a fire look out in the 1950s, 60s and 70s.
Once we climbed the 153 metal rods that were attached to the tree there was a wonderful 360 degree view of the Karri Forrest below.

It was extremely nerve wrecking and the whole time I was worried about Lachlan, and the whole time Lachlan did not seem worried or scared at all, in fact he would not stop talking!

Brax climbed up 10 rungs one more than his age, which is a great effort as he is very scared of heights, then he had the important job of being the photographer.Read more
