Gnaraloo - Tombstones Snorkelling

The sun finally came out and the wind died off so we were keen to get some more snorkeling done. The kids, Kat and I were keen to see some turtles as our neighbours had told us they saw turtles when they went out.

We were in luck, as soon as we were in the water we spotted a turtle 🐢😁🤗. He was a friendly little fellow who was happy to swim around with us and let us pat him. We were all stocked.

Once everyone got out Kat and I decided to go back and for another go. We were mesmerised by a school of thousands of fish that were swimming around when Kat stopped me to see if I saw the SHARK 🦈! I hadn’t but had been thinking that all these fish must be attracting a shark. The next thing we knew more sharks had come in and were circling around Kat and I, there was at least 4 or 5 now! Before I had a chance to realise what was happening Kat had swam in and left me. I turned the Go pro off and high tailed it in.

It didn’t turn me off going back out, half an hour later I saw turtle heads popping up out of the water, so I popped my wetsuit back on and went out again to find another turtle 🐢. ( with Brett as back up this time😆).Read more
