Boab Quarry

Brett sure knows the way to my heart, picking a quarry full of boabs to camp at for the night.

It was stunning for a quarry, we had what felt like a garden outside our front door, then all around us were these amazing rock formations. We went exploring around the rocks, and there were numerous caves. It was a bit scary climbing inside and sqeezing through the tunnels not knowing where you were going to end up. Luckily, Brett has a better sense of direction than me or we might still be in there trying to find our way out!

Lachlan spent the afternoon working out how he could get the big boab nuts out of the tree and nearly lost an eye with the contraption he made! He was determined to get a big one so he can carve it like he saw some of the locals doing.Read more
