• Hamelin Bay

    14. januar 2022, Australien ⋅ ⛅ 21 °C

The sun finally came out, so we took Aunty Mel, Uncle Joel and Taj to see the Black Sting Rays of Hamelin Bay.

We were a bit worried when we first got there as we couldn’t see any, but it didn’t take long before the jiggling of the pilchards we brought got their attention. There was three massive black sting rays and three or four eagle rays that came in to see us. They were so big they were pushing the kids over.

Last time we were here, Brax was very intimidated by their size and was scared to feed and touch them, but this time no encouragement was needed he was the first one in the water with a pilchard. All the kids (and grown ups) had a great time feeding them.

Then it was back to camp to jump on the golf buggies and head out to sheep feeding and cuddle some more Guinea pigs. Lachlan is never going to want to leave Big Valley Camp Ground!
