• Uluru Sunrise

    Our first sunrise at Uluru, we were all up early and pumped, we get to the gate and there is a line up! I triple checked that the gates opened at 6am, but at 6.20 we were all still sitting in line waiting. Apparently the opening time has changed to 6.30am, but we just think the ranger was running late and used that as her excuse. Whist we were waiting we could see glimpses of stunning colour to our left! Finally the gate opened, so we flew out to the sunrise spot. There were people everywhere, but we found a spot down the bottom to set up, people saw us go down the bottom instead of to the lookout and then followed us, we we not alone for long. Although I felt we had missed the best colours it was still beautiful. Luckily we are coming back tomorrow.

    After sunrise we enjoyed a yummy bacon and cheese bread and hot cuppas to help defrost us.

    Then it was off to Kata Tjuta
